Who We Are

About the ICCP

Set up by Islington Council in 2007, we were the country’s first partnership bringing together businesses and organisations committed to cutting their carbon emissions and improving the local environment.

We have won trailblazer awards and been recognised by central and local government for our best practice.

Now we’re busy building on our success by signing up an ever-increasing number of businesses, groups and charities, public and private, large and small, who care about the environment and want to do something about it. Together.

We’re helping them save money on their fuel bills through

  • our free energy health audits worth £500
  • benefitting from our research into the ideal lighting and heating systems for their business
  • encouraging staff to set and use these systems more efficiently
  • switching over to the best fuel suppliers
  • meeting and sharing tips, advice and stories with other like-minded local organisations

Many are finding they generate more business through impressive eco-credentials and satisfying their company’s corporate social responsibility.

Islington is a leading low-carbon borough, and is looking towards forward-thinking businesses to join us, reduce their emissions, and make our area a better place for all.
